Claire Darby
PartnerClaire Darby qualified as a solicitor in 2011. She joined Pearson Hards’ dispute resolution team from a City law firm, where she trained. She specialises in all aspects of dispute resolution, including contract, negligence claims, employment matters and landlord and tenant disputes.
She has a practical approach to problem solving which aims to give the client the best advice to lead to a cost effective outcome. Claire’s approach includes an analysis of the dispute itself, and assessing the client’s overall needs and taking into account the potential costs of litigation. Claire has experience of the various forms of alternative dispute resolution, including mediation and negotiation between the parties. Where appropriate, she will encourage clients to consider this as an alternative to litigation.
Claire has an extensive range of dispute resolution experience, both for individual and commercial clients, and is always keen to take on new and challenging cases.
Outside of work, Claire enjoys spending time with her friends and family. She can often be found pottering round the local high street or antiques market, keeping her eyes peeled for the next interesting piece of furniture or trinket for her home.
